How to choose funeral flowers

There are a wide range of traditional types of funeral flowers. Here’s a quick summary of each kind.

  • Funeral sheaves and sprays – like bouquets designed to lay flat, they’re usually placed on the grave.

  • Funeral wreaths – symbolising never ending love these are traditionally left on a grave.

  • Funeral posies and pillows – these are often sent by extended family

  • Casket tributes – large diamond shaped arrangements to go on top of the coffin

You can choose which you think suits the funeral, or would feel fitting for the person that’s died, or you could opt for a custom arrangement. You can find out more about choosing flowers with our funeral flowers guide.

How does flower delivery for funerals work?

When you order we’ll ask for details about the person that’s died, and for details of the funeral arrangements plus contact details of the funeral director. We’ll work with them to make sure the flowers arrive smoothly, with care, exactly when and where they need to be. We usually make sure they arrive at least 2 hours before the start of the funeral.
